This listing is for a Steve Owens Signed Full Size Authentic Riddell VSR4 Oklahoma Sooners Helmet, Heisman, All-Pro. The helmet is in wonderful shape, with no apparent scratches, marks or blemishes. It has a sharp and clear signature by Steve in black sharpie. Sorry, there is no COA. However, if you compare Steve's signature with others on EBay or online, you will be able to tell that it is the real thing. This is an Authentic VSR4 helmet that is used on the field.  It has full padding on the interior of the helmet.  While it is the authentic game helmet, it is being sold for display purposes only and is not for competitive use. These helmets often list new and unsigned for 9.99 online. This is a special helmet commemorating the first 100 years of Oklahoma football.  It is hand-signed by the 1969 Heisman Trophy winner Steve Owens. Steve was the second of several Heisman Trophy winners from Oklahoma. He was a consensus first-team All American in 1969 and he was the all-time leading scorer at Oklahoma until 2010, when he was passed by DeMarco Murray.  Steve was a first round draft pick of the Detroit Lions in 1970.  He played for the Lions for five years, until injuries forced his retirement. Prior to his retirement, Steve became the first Lion to rush for over 1000 yards and he was named an All-Pro.  He is a true Oklahoma legend and the school has commemorated him with a bronze statue on campus.  This special helmet will be shipped by USPS Priority Mail or FedEx within the continental USA only.  Tracking will be provided to your Ebay account.
